Sa Akon Dilambong
Ni: Santiago Alv. Mulato

Ilig kamo sing masulog:

sang Diwa sang Taliambong

Lupad kamo sing matayog
binalaybay kong pakpakon
paindisan ang panganud nga gapulan sing mataas
agud nga magpangilamyon sa Kanlaon kag Madyaas,
wigita ninyo ang sipad
sang bulak sang palakpakan.

Ang matigda nga dinalan
sang binulos nga maambong
sa Bisayang’ Nakatundan ipaguob ang dagaas,
mag-untat lang kamo – magdulog sa paghugpaas
kon sa gab-I sang kabuhi
tawgon ako sa pagtambong

In My Discourse

Flow rapidly
Thought that is so lovely
In the waterfalls that never dries up this remembrance of mine
'Cos my soul is begging to take into one's arms the glory
When leaving behind is pure
Treasure of dilambong.

 The blaze in glory:
What I remember was shadowed
'Cos my forehead was lifted, now it's never glaring
I often dreamed that the golden crown
in my forehead was attached or put into
of the God of Taliambong

Soar high:

My winged poems
Contest of the clouds floating up high
so to commune or kiss with Mount Kanlaon and Mount Madja-as,
leave behind the petal
of the flower of clapping

A clear verse or line

of the lovely replacement
in Western Visayas fill the murmur
just for you to stop - halt at the roaring
on the night of life
call me to attend

PANGABAY SA HANGIN
Ni: Santiago Alv. Mulato

O Hangin nga naga tugub sa bug-os nga kahawaan:
dal-a ining akon haluk
sa Isbing kong pinalangga,
haluk ini nga pasahi kag wala sing kadulaan
may katam-is sang pagdalu,
may kayuyum sang pag-angga.

II
Wala’y tinagang makasaysay sang paghandum ko sa
iya kay naglawig na’ng inadlaw
nga sa akon nahamulag:
kon ang dungog ko kag ngalan sia lamang ang tag-
iya, sia man ang dalangpan
sang nahidlaw ko nga kalag.

III
Sublanga sia sa kadak-an sang napuy-an niyang’
balay, ukon tikaon sa giha
sang mahal niya nga hulot;
Kon Makita mo siya gani, tamana ining pangabay;
dagpii ang iya pisngi
nga may habal kag mahumut.

IV
Ayaw nimo pagsublaga kon hamuok ang pagtulog,
kag’ di nimo pag-ukoyon
mga buhok niyang’ kulong;
libutlibut ka sa iya, magbantay sing wala’y dulog,
tamdi ang iya nawong
nga sang dugo ginasulong

V
Kon matabu nga maghiyud, maglisu man sa paghulag,
laylayi siya sing mahinay
sang kundiman nga malulot;
sang matibsul niyang butkon, di ka mangahas
magtulag, magtukis sang iya bayu
ukon sang habol magpulot.

VI
Sa matibsul niyang’ paa, sa batiis nga maputi,
isablay mo sing talaptap
ang haluk kong’ mayuyum,
sa dughan niyang mabawud nga ang duag gapugati
idug-on mo sing madugay
hakus nakon ang matuyum.

VII
Kon pananglit makabugtaw sa pukaw kaagahon,
sa tanan niyang buhaton
tinguhaa nga mag-ambit;
bala ang sinulatan ko bukaron niya, basahon,
ukon man sa kahidlaw
sang ngalan nakon magsambit.

VIII
Ang tikab sang iya baba hungdan nimo pamatian
subong man ang iya tuaw
sa kasadya kag kasubu;
bala nagakabalaka kon ako may balatian,
ukon nagadahumdahum
kon anano ang natabu.

IX
Dunggon mo sing maathag ang lalim sang iya kumud,
bala kahidlaw sa akon
bangud kami nahilayu;
bala sia ang may kaimon nga sa akon ginatumod,
ukon panghayhay lang
nga ginbunga sang kasubu.

X
Kon makita mo’ng ulanan nga hupog sang iya luha
kag sang daku nga kasakit
wala’y nahimu nga pagpugong,
dapyahan mo sing madulos agud ang basa makuha,
tubtub mapanas ang pat-in
sang kasulub-on nga sugong.

XI
Ayaw ka gid magkawili sa kapatagan kag talon
ang tanan nakon nga tugon
huptan mo sing may kangilin;
bisan indi ako nimo talahuron nga agalon,
ayaw lang nimo kalimti
ining tanan to nga bilin

WISH TO THE WIND
by Santiago Alv. Mulato

Oh wind that fills the whole wilderness
bring this kiss of mine
to Isbing my beloved
this kiss is extraordinary and without fading
there is sweetness of pagdalu,
there is tenderness in fondling

II

No words can tell in my desire for
her cos days for so long
that in me was separated from
if my honor and name she's the
only owner. she's also the refuge
of my longing soul

III

Meet him in the crowd of his residing
house or peak at a hole
of her beloved room;
If you've seen here, follow this wish;
tap her face
swollen and fragrant

IV
Don't disturb if it's in deep slumber
and never tousle
her kinky hair;
roam around her, watch without stopping
Focus on her face
that of the blood clotting

V
If it happens that it will stretch out, veer also in your movement
Assist her gently
of a tender pure kundiman;
of her thick fat arms, never dare
to move or lift up her dress
or to pick up the blanket.

VI
On her thick fat feet, on her white legs
hang on covering entirely
my kiss so tender,
in her curvy chest that is woobly, that its shape or figure is so bright
Place it so long
My embrace so strong

VII
If all of a sudden woke up by the rousing of early dawn,
in all of her doing
determine to participate;
whether she will open, read my write-ups,
or in the yearning
to my name she will mention

VIII
The utter of her mouth carefully listens
as well as her shout
in happiness or sorrow;
whether she's concerned when I got sick,
or thinking
what is happening

IX
Listen clearly the depths of her murmuring,
whether she yearns for me
because we are separated;
whether she is jealous on me referring to,
or just sighing
which was brought by sadness.

X
  If you see a rainfall of her tears
and of great pain
nothing to do to stop,
waft it with powerful strength so the wetness will be taken,
until the spot will fade
of the compelling sadness.

XI
Don't stay too much in the fields and waterfalls --
all of my order
keep with some wish to keep or retain, value the possession and regret the loss;
even if I'm not your respected master,
Just never forget
Everything that was told.

Ang Mamalaybay
Ni: Santiago Alv. Mulato

I
Pakpakan nga Salugyawan sa hambad nga kahawaan
ng wala nagakaninggol sa Amihan kag Habagat
sa tinion nga maglanton sang subing niyang dilaan
nagakawili pagdungog ang katalunan kag dagat…
ang kuyus punu’y pakili,
ang lawas may hunonghunong,
wala’y singgit sang kanuyus nga sa iya makatunong,

II
Bisan diin mamalawpaw – kapatagan man ukon talon
angay sa panuluk niya danyag sang kinaugali;
ang nasibiran sang baybay may duag nga malahalon,
subong man ang kakahuyan nga sang unos ginabali…
Sa is aka mamalaybay
may katumbasan ang duga
sang tanan nga mga puni nga sampat sang iya kalag.

III
nagakadlaw pagpamati
sa hugyaw sang kapispisan nga indi maghilibati.

IV
Bisan nabanigan bulak ang mahal niyang higlaan,
wala pagbatyag kawili kay malupad sing mataas;
makig-indis sa panganud sa tunga sang kahawaan
kag magpaligbuk sing amba sa Kanlaon kag Madyaas…
Kay ang iya kalag
may butang nga padulungan:
dagubdub sang balatyagon, kasili sang kaambungan.

V
Pinasahi, talagsahon ang isa ka Mamalaybay
kay madali nga masaypan nga sang buang kinasari;
kon abuton, makighampang sa mga hanul sa baybay,
kag indi gid magkuyampad bisan pahugon sang hari…
Kay ang Mamalaybay
alaninawan sing surog,
ang kalag may kinapag-on nga wala sing makaulog.

VI
Iya ikaw pasauton sa tulalay nga libagon,
ukon pasuhutsuhuton sa buhong’ nalumpagian;
ang mapungay nimong kalag mahulas niya bihagon,
kag ang hamtang nimong tadlong buhaton niya bangian…
Kay ang isang Mamalaybay
nabugayan pinangalap
kay ang hambal nga dugusnon sa kasingkasing gakalap.

VII
Sang Gahum nga Ibabawnon gintugpu sa kalibutan
agud amo’ng  maglaragway sang danyag sang Kaambungan
magsugid sa katawuhan nga matuod nalibutan
sang madamong’ mga puni nga dapat gid paghalungan…
Sa dinalan nga mayuyum
amo’ ng  magbadlit sang duag
sang sipad sang kabulakan sa pamulakan sang kalag.

THE POET
By: Santiago Alv. Mulato

I
Wings of ____  in a vast sky
Unaffected or not bothered by the easterly and western winds
at the time when its tongue is humming a bamboo flute or pan pipe.
entertained, honoring the jungle and the ocean...
the surprise full of harness
its body there is calmness,
no shout of surprise that can stop him

II
Where it will go farther - vast farm fields or forest
like on his vision a form of practice or tradition
touched by the sea has expensive figure or shape
as well as the woods that gust of wind is being bended
 In a poet
the juice or sap has its equivalent
of all the decorations that is so sweet to its soul.

III
There's a kind of beauty in the dawn of the morning
if the sun looks at the hole or gap of the horizon
'cos its brightness that looks like the smile of a lady,
in the dew drops in the flower petals in licking he desires..
because it was entertained or amused there
laughing while listening
in the cheerful noise of the birds that is deafening.

IV
Even his beloved bed is covered /banigan (local handwoven mat made of palms ) with flowers
never felt entertained cos it will soar or fly high;
will compete in the clouds in the middle of the sky
and will offer chant or hyms to Mount Kanlaon and Mount Madja-as.
Cos its soul
will have its destination:
intensity of feeling, brightness of loveliness.

V
Peculiar, rare is a poet
'cos its easy to mistake it to the identity of a crazy person
if the bout strikes, it will play with the waves in the sea,
and it will not scamper or run away even if threatened by the king..
Cos the poet is ____ strong
the soul is tough that no one can shake or break

VI
He or She will make me dance in a music which is cacophonous,
or crawl in the wrecked or razed hole;
your weak soul he can easily capture,
and your straight smoothness or level he will make it unequal or unbalanced or unproportionate
Cos a poet
Is blessed with charm
 cos what is sweet words in the heart is wooed or spread.

VII
By the Power of the Almighty, set and spread in the world
so it will picture or describe the figure of loveliness
tell the mankind surrounded by truth
of so many decorations or adornments that should be handled carefully.
In the contiguous path
it's the one that marks or line a shape or figure
to the petals of the flowers in the flowering of the soul.

Ang Bulohaton Sang Adlaw
Ni: Santiago Alv. Mulato

Sang iya paghinalanday
sa taknang kahapunanon
binuhat niya sing pula ang sidsiran sang katundan,
pinahuloy ang kasiga
nga daw nagadamguhanon
agud nga ang kasisidmon sing kagagil-um malundan.

Ang mapungay nga banaag
nagsalum kag nangaladkad
tubtub sa dakaldakalon nga hiligdaan sang linaw
agud nga sa panumduman
sang tawo magpamukadkad
sinipad sang handumanan nga may duag nga masinaw

Ang kapihak – kalibutan
nga iya gintalikuran
hungud ginpatumbayaan agud sang kabugnaw daluon;
apang, ang kumbong sang gab-i
nga di niya maulikdan,
pinugtakan sang pangilay sang madamu nga bituon.

Sang iya gid pagtamwa
sa ganhaan sang Sidlangan,
pinamadmad sing inanay ang kabukiran kag talon;
pinasidlak mga balud
nga ‘gakubyal sing wa’y langan,
kag sa tun-og nga nag-usbong may haluk nga ginapabalon.

Pinukaw ang mga pispis
agud nga maghinudyakan,
hinadkan ang mga bulak agud nga magdilinagyang
tinandog ang mga palwa
agud lang magpalakpakan
kag pinasaut ang gamhon nga nasilungan sang badyang.

Pinalapta ang kasanag
sa nahumlaran sang duta,
pinalagtum ang kalumhaw sang halaban nga bakulod;
sa bikol sang mga bukid
ang kasilaw ginhimuta
agud dali makabunggu panganud nga manabulod.

Paglambut sa kaudtuhon
pinatagiti ang init,
kasingkal niya nangusi sa panit nga wala’y hapin;
sa handung sang mga kahoy
pahu, balayong, sapinit
pinasilong yadtong tawo nga wala’y kalu kag sapin.

kag pagligad sang tinakna
liwat nga naghinalanday
sa nasunup sang kahagbong nga dampi sang Nakatundan:
ang masili nga kasanag
ahat niya nga gintanday
sa sabak sang kasisidmon nga sang gahum ginalundan.

The Task Of The Sun
By: Santiago Alv. Mulato

In her ________
In the afternoon
Created the hues of red of the hemline of the west.
Tone down the brightness
Seems like dreaming
So that the twilight of dusk will cover.

The weak glimmer
Sinks in and blossom
Until the huge size bed of the lake
So that in the thoughts
of the people will  be blossom or flower
Parts of memories that has a clear appearance

The other side of the world
that it abandon
intentionally forsaken so that the coldness will caress
but the curtain of the night
it couldn't care,
dotted with the winks of so many stars.

In her gazing
of the door of the East,
waking up the inanay of mountains and wilderness;
dazzled the waves
jumping and moving endlessly.
and in the dew that evaporates there's a provision of a kiss.

Awakened the birds
to make a group rejoicing action,
rejoice and invited the flowers to have merrymaking
touched the palm leaves
in order for them to just clap
and made the weeds, sheltered by the
elephant ear taro plant (alocasia macrorrhizos) dance.

Spread the light
where the land is spread out,
Darkened the un-breathable of the hilly pasture
to the bikols of the mountains
the glare he eye boogers
so that it would easy to collide clouds on the hill

When the noon time comes,
intensify the scorching heat,
its scorching heat pinch the skin that has no cover or protection.
In the shadows of the trees
Mango, drumstick, thorn or briar tree
sheltered the man without hat or cover.

And after sometime
again hinalanday
to the area in the west covered by the shadows:
the very bright light
temporarily put upon
in the lap of the twilight of the power included in.
